Jim Allen is a Group President at MB Financial Bank and is officed in Downers Grove. He has over 33 years of middle market lending experience focused on small and medium size businesses; primarily family owned and entrepreneurial. Jim's clients are located throughout the Midwest with a primary focus on the Chicago area. He has a successful record of originating and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate and commercial industrial clients.

He was formerly a Group Manager for Old Kent Bank and left to form the Middle Market Business Banking unit for MidAmerica Bank. This portfolio was grown through organic business development and further bank acquisitions to $2 billion in assets prior to agreeing to sell the bank to Nat City in 2007. Since then, Jim has invested in another small bank with a presence in Iowa and Illinois and then in 2011 joined ACB as a Group SVP and stockholder.

In addition, Jim is an active CRE investor with interests in retail, hotel and mixed use  properties.
